Born in 1925, in Waterloo, Quebec, Henry Jones divided his time between the Province of Quebec and Mexico. Until 1975, he painted and sculpted as well as teaching art at various Montreal universities. Since 1976, he spends most of his time painting, and he exhibits across Canada. Jones works in oil on masonite. His subjects often depict equivical situations which include horses and lustful nudes, the artist and his model, masked portraits, nudes and still life.
