Christian DEBERDT

Born in Paris in 1947, Christian studied graphic arts and printmaking for four years before moving to Montreal in 1968.  He started his professional painting career in 1975 and joined Galerie Valentin three years later. Using hyperrealism, he creates a world which mixes dreams and reality, using layers of acrylics on canvas. His unique style, the mountains and trees, the lakes and rivers, the rocks and flowers are his own personal recreation of the nature that surrounds him at his home in the Eastern Townships. His paintings can be found in many corporate and museum collections in Canada as well as the United States. Christian died November 2011 in the Eastern Townships.
