Born in 1925, in Waterloo, Quebec, Henry Jones divides his time between the Province of Quebec and Mexico. Until 1975, he painted and sculpted as well as teaching art at various Montreal universities. Since 1976, he has devoted most of his time to painting, and has exhibited across Canada. Jones works in oils on Masonite. His subjects often depict ambiguous situations which include horses and lustful nudes, the artist and his model, masked portraits, nudes and still life.
