Morioka, Japan, 1937
Miyuki Tanobe works with nihonga on Masonite. Her modern primitive works depict everyday life in the working class neighborhoods of Montreal with humour and great sensitivity. Her paintings can be found in the collections of many Canadian museums and corporations.
